Allu Arjun ‘Ready To Rule’ The Box Office Again As Sukumar’s ‘Pushpa 2’ Finally Launched
While major Bollywood films like Laal Singh Chaddha & Raksha Bandhan failed at the box office, a lesser-known Telugu film Karthikeya 2 released amid zero fanfare in Hindi slowly garnered attention in the North Indian belts & went on to make more money on its day 8 than the combined total of Aamir Khan & Akshay Kumar starrer on day 10.
Post pandemic, this trend of South films beating Bollywood in its own game despite zero promotions started with Sukumar’s Telugu blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna & Fahadh Faasil.
Now, 8 months after Pushpa rose to nationwide popularity, Allu Arjun is all set to rule the pan-India box office again with its sequel Pushpa: The Rule.
Directed by Sukumar, the film has finally been launched with a Pooja Ceremony & the pictures from it have now gone viral on social media.
The ceremony was attended by Director Sukumar & producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar among others.
While the sequel has been officially launched, the filming will begin shortly.
Sharing the pictures, the official account of Pushpa tweeted, “Highlights from #PushpaTheRule pooja ceremony Filming begins soon BIGGER and GRANDER #ThaggedheLe #JhukegaNahi”.
Reacting to the pictures, one fan wrote, “All The Best #PushpaTheRule Sher Coming Soon @alluarjun”.
Another fan tweeted, “Here it begins #ThaggedheLe Most anticipated movie #AlluArjun #pushpatherule #MemuAagamu”.
A third fan simply wrote, “READY To RULE !!!”
The first part started slowly in Hindi & went on to hit the Rs 100 crore mark in Bollywood.
Expect a record breaking box office collection from Hindi alone when Pushpa 2:- The Rule hit the big screens next year.
It won’t be surprising if the Allu Arjun starrer turns out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of Bollywood akin to KGF: Chapter 2 & Baahubali 2: The Beginning.
The movie is expected to release by September 2023.
