Mohan Ravi, known by his stage name Jayam Ravi, is an Indian actor who primarily works in Tamil cinema. He was born on September 10, 1980. He made his debut as the child artist in the 1989 film “Oru Thottil Sabadham”. In 2003, he made his debut as a lead in the film “Jayam”. He received several awards, including the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, Edison Awards, SIIMA Awards, IIFA Utsavam Awards, Filmfare Awards South, and Vikatan Awards. His notable works include “M. Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi” (2004), “Daas” (2005), “Unakkum Enakkum” (2006), “Deepavali” (2007), “Santhosh Subramaniyam” (2008), “Peranmai” (2009), “Thillalangadi” (2010), “Engeyum Kadhal” (2011), “Nimirndhu Nil” (2014), “Romeo Juliet” (2015), “Thani Oruvan” (2015), “Booloham” (2015), “Miruthan” (2016), “Bogan” (2017), “Tik TikTik” (2018), “Adanga Maru” (2018), “Comali” (2019), “Ponniyin Selvan: Part I” (2022), and “Ponniyin Selvan: Part II” (2023). He is married to Aarti, the daughter of television producer Sujatha Vijaykumar, with whom he has two sons.
