Hoist the colors and get ready to set sail as LEGO and One Piece collide for an exciting new animated special set to release on Netflix on September 29, 2026. Relive the story of East Blue as the teller of tall tales himself, Captain Usopp, narrates the Straw Hats’ journey, brick by brick.
First announced back in April 2026 with extensive announcements throughout July, LEGO ONE PIECE is an upcoming animated special directed by Chelsea Ker . The two-episode special series will see the cast of the live-action One Piece return to reprise their roles, but in LEGO form. The official synopsis for the LEGO® ONE PIECE series from Netflix is:
“Set sail with Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, and Chopper as they come together and form the Straw Hat Pirates! In this two-part animated LEGO® special, join the crew as they make their way into a treacherous stretch of ocean known as the Grand Line, in search of the One Piece and their dreams. Along the way, they’ll fight off a crazed pirate clown, marines, fishmen, and a criminal syndicate — all while exploring islands full of unknown danger and fun! Oh, and did we mention, the crew’s most reliably unreliable narrator is the teller of this tale? That’s right, Usopp brings his propulsive storytelling and liberal use of “dramatic license” along for the ride.”
Alongside a slew of announcements at Anime NYC, Netflix debuted a brand-new trailer and fresh first looks, along with the new key art poster that dropped yesterday.
Let’s begin with that brand-new trailer for the animated special:

There’s also a new poster for the series!

Moving on, here are the brand-new first-look images for LEGO® ONE PIECE, which have also been released by Netflix, giving us another look at LEGO Tony Tony Chopper, the villainous Buggy the Clown, and the fight at Arlong Park between the Straw Hats and the Arlong Pirates.
The new snaps also confirm an additional voice actor from the main live-action series reprising their role, with Len-Barry Simons returning as Chu. Of course, Iñaki Godoy leads the cast as Monkey D. Luffy, alongside Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday — who responded to the casting news on Instagram with “Mum, I’ve made it” — and Mikaela Hoover as Chopper.
