Lokesh Kanagaraj to Keerthy Suresh, Kollywood reviews Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu

Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, hit theatres on January 11 and has been creating a buzz not just among fans but even in the Tamil film industry. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is directing Vijay’s next film and after watching the 4 am show on January 11, told the media that he found the movie very ‘refreshing’ and that it was good to see Thalapathy back in a family entertainer after a long time. Thalapathy Vijay’s mother, Mrs. Shoba Chandrasekhar, watched the film along with the cast and crew and she was all smiles in the pics posted on social media. She seemed very proud of her son.

KOLLYWOOD HAILS VARISU:-

Meanwhile, other Kollywood celebs chose to post their comments on social media. Director and writer Rathna Kumar felt the movie was a one-man show. Actor Kishen Das, who was seen in Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee wrote that he loved the pop culture references and loved Vijay back in familiar territory. Meanwhile, actress Trisha watched the 4 am show as well of Varisu, as did actress Keerthy Suresh.

Keerthy Suresh told the media, that Pongal meant she had to be in Chennai and watch the FDFS of Vijay’s film. Both these actresses have worked with Thalapathy.

Music director S Thaman who watched the film as he finished the RR for the film, stated he cried when the film ended. This is the first time he has scored music for Vijay and he delivered the goods.

Ganesh Venkatraman, who acted in the film with Vijay, took his family for the show and his wife, Nisha Ganesh, an actress herself, could not stop gushing about the film.

Actor Sibi Sathyaraj, a big fan of Vijay, also tweeted out that Varisu was a family entertainer and called Vijay the ‘aatanayagan’ meaning the dancing star.

The comments from the Tamil film industry are flooding social media.

DIRECTOR VAMSHI THANKS VIJAY:-

The director of the film, Vamshi Paidipally, met Vijay and thanked him post the release of the film. He thanked the fans as well for their support and, in true Vijay style, called them ‘nanbas and nanbis’ friends.

Vijay will head to the sets of his next film with Lokesh Kanagaraj now. This film should release in September is what the reports are.
