Manoj Bajpayee is an Indian actor who primarily works in Hindi Cinema. He was born on April 23, 1969. He made his debut in the 1994 film Drohkaal. His role in the film is for one minute, and he also worked on Bandit Queen (1994). But he got success from the 1998 film Satya, and his role as a gangster, Bhiku Mhatre, got noticed in the film and eventually proved to be a breakthrough. He has also done films in Telugu and Tamil language. He won six Filmfare awards. In 2019, he was awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution to the arts. He received three National Film Awards for the films Satya, Pinjar, and Bhonsle. He has done many notable films, including Satya (1998), Shool (1999), Pinjar (2003), Special 26 (2013), Sonchiriya (2019), Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), LOC: Kargil (2003), Rajneeti (2010), and Shootout at Wadala (2013). The actor was also part of the web series The Family Man (2019) and Gulmohar (2023), directed by Rahul V. Chittella.

He is married to actress Shabana Raza, with whom he has a daughter.
