Megastar Chiranjeevi honored with Indian Film Personality of the Year 2022 award at IFFI
At the opening ceremony of the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Sunday, November 20, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi was honored with the Indian Film Personality of the Year 2022 award. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur announced the same in front of the attendees. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s fans are overwhelmed by the award.

Megastar Chiranjeevi was last seen in Koratala Siva’s Acharya. He is presently busy with the shooting of his upcoming films. On November 20, IFFI Goa began with an opening ceremony attended by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur, Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, and MoS for I&B L Murugan. During the opening ceremony, Megastar Chiranjeevi was named the Indian Film Personality of the Year 2022. Megastar Chiranjeevi took to Twitter to express his gratitude to the government of India. He wrote, “Greatly Delighted and Humbled at this honor, Sri @ianuragthakur! My deep gratitude to Govt of India @MIB_India @IFFIGoa @Anurag_Office and all my loving fans only because of whom I am here today! Bollywood actors Ajay Devgan, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Manoj Bajpayee, and writer V Vijayendra Prasad (Rajya Sabha MP) were also bestowed with special honors.

Chiranjeevi is a renowned Indian actor, film producer, philanthropist and politician who has predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. With an illustrious career spanning almost four decades, he’s been a part of more than 150 feature films.
The artist has been honored with the most coveted awards, namely, Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian honor, the Raghupathi Venkaiah award, the highest award of Andhra Pradesh, the Nandi award and many others. His debut with Punadhirallu in 1978 set the screen for him.
He captured the imagination of the masses with his performance in Initlo Ramayya Veedilo Krishnayya in 1982. He’s admired for his zestful dance performances and fight sequences brimming with power. He takes an active part in philanthropy through his organization, The Chiranjeevi Charitable Foundation, which was founded in 1998.
