A slew of exciting new shows and movies like ‘Trial By Fire’ and ‘Drishyam 2’ made their way to OTT last week and more are slated for the coming weekend – ‘Mission Majnu’, for instance. Let’s take a look.
Best OTT releases that should be on your watchlist this week
1. ‘Trial By Fire’ (Netflix: 13 Jan):-
Highly recommended by most critics, it’s based on the riveting story of Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy’s resilience. They lost their two kids – Unnati (17) and Ujjwal (13) in Delhi’s Uphaar cinema fire.
2. ‘Drishyam 2’ (Amazon Prime: 13 Jan):-
The sequel to the super hit crime thriller, ‘Drishyam’, has the relentless Mira pursuing Vijay, who she wants to prove guilty of her son’s murder. The epic climax reveals if Mira would be able to uncover the truth.
3. ‘Vikram Vedha’ (Voot Select, Jio Cinema: 13 Jan):-
The Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer is an action-packed story that showcases a feud between a fearless cop and an unwavering gangster.
4. ‘Mission Majnu’ (Netflix: 20 Jan):-
The upcoming spy thriller follows the story of one of India’s most daring covert missions by an Indian spy (played by Siddharth Malhotra) during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
5. ‘Hunters Season 2’ (Amazon Prime: 13 Jan):-
The second season of the series follows the members of the scattered team of hunters, reuniting in a grand mission to bring the holocaust perpetrator, Adolf Hitler, to his long-due trial.
6. ‘That ‘90s Show’ (Netflix: 19 Jan):-
Dropping nearly 16 years after ‘That ‘70s Show’ ended, ‘That ‘90s Show’ will have a similar plot, featuring both old and new faces.
