Uppalapati Venkata Suryanarayana Prabhas Raju, popularly known as Prabhas, is an Indian actor who works in Telugu cinema. He was born on October 23, 1979, in a Telugu family to Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju and Siva Kumari. In 2002, he made his acting debut with the Telugu movie “Eeswar” (2002) but “Varsham” (2004) is his most commercially successful film. He received many awards, including Nandi Awards, SIIMA Awards, CineMAA Awards, and even seven Filmfare Awards South nominations. His notable films include “Chatrapathi” (2005), “Pournami” (2006), “Yogi” (2007), “Munna” (2007), “Bujjigadu” (2008), “Billa” (2009), “Ek Niranjan” (2009), “Darling” (2010), “Mr. Perfect” (2011), “Rebel” (2012), “Mirchi” (2013), “Action Jackson” (2014), “Saaho” (2019), “Radhe Shyam” (2022), and “Adipurush” (2023). In 2015, Prabhas starred in the movie, “Baahubali: The Beginning”, the highest-grossing movie, and later in the year 2017, its sequel, “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion”, became the first Indian film to gross 1,000 crores INR at the box office. He is the first Telugu actor to have his wax statue at Madame Tussaud’s wax museum. In 2023, his four upcoming projects are:-
1) “Salaar: Part-1: Ceasefire”, an action thriller movie, directed by Prashanth Neel.
2) “Project K”, starring Deepika Padukone, is a sci-fi film directed by Nag Ashwin.
