Rani Mukerji is an Indian actress who works in Hindi Films. She was born on March 21, 1978. She is the recipient of multiple Awards, including seven Filmfare Awards. Mukerji’s debut film is Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat (1996), but her first commercial success was with the action film Ghulam (1998) opposite Aamir Khan, and she got her first breakthrough with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) opposite Shah Rukh Khan. 1. Mukerji is a trained Odissi Dancer.

2. In 1994, she was offered the lead role in ‘Aa Gale Lag Jaa ‘ opposite Jugal Hansraj, but her father was against it as she was too young, and she later was replaced by Urmila Matondkar.

3. She turned down the lead role offer in the Hollywood Film The Namesake (2006), as the dates clashed with ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006).

2. Catfights with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: There were rumours that Shah Rukh Khan replaced Aishwarya with Rani for ‘Chalte Chalte’, due to which Rani and Aishwarya’s friendship turned sour. However, neither of them confirmed nor denied the rumours.

3. The Cold War with Jaya Bachchan: According to rumours, she was not happy with  Abhishek’s relationship with Rani. Later, their relationships came to an end, and Abhishek tied the knot with Aishwarya Rai.
