Nagaraju Shiva Puttaswamy known by his screen name Shiva Raj Kumar is an Indian actor, producer, and television presenter who predominantly works in Kannada cinema. He is the eldest son of Kannada matinee idol, Dr. Rajkumar and Smt Parvatamma Rajkumar. In a career spanning over three decades, Shiva has worked in over 120 films. He has won Karnataka State Film Awards, Film fare Awards South, SIIMA awards, and other recognitions for his performances onscreen. Dr. Rajkumar is a legendary Kannada star, who won a lot of hearts during his lifetime. Shiva raj Kumar has two sisters and two brothers. His brother, Raghavendra Rajkumar is a film producer and actor, and his youngest brother, Puneet Rajkumar is also a Kannada film actor. He graduated with B.E (Chemical Engineering) from Madras University and later joined the acting school of Madras. Shiva raj Kumar married Former Chief Minister of Karnataka S. Bangarappa’s daughter, Geeta. The couple has two daughters Nivedita and Vasantha.

Shiva raj Kumar started his film career with the super-hit film Anand by Singeetham Srinivas Rao. His next two movies namely ‘Rathasapthami’ and ‘Mana Mechchida Hudugi’ were also big hits. All his movies completed a silver jubilee, bringing him the name of a Hat-trick Hero.

His brother Puneeth Rajkumar passed away on October 29, 2021, due to a heart attack, he was 46 years old.
