Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu SSMB 28 directed by Trivikram Srinivas has been in the news for the last month. There were reports that the movie would start in December 2022 but the shoot is starting post-Sankranti. IndiaToday.in has exclusively learned that actress Sreeleela, who ended 2022 on a high with Dhamaka’s success, has been signed on for this film. Sources stated that Sreeleela had been signed on but all official announcements would come from the production house post-Sankranti. In an earlier interview with IndiaToday.in, when asked what she would feel if Sreeleela was offered a Mahesh Babu film, Sreeleela had replied, “That would be like a WOW moment!”. And it looks like the Pelli Sandad actress’ wow moment has arrived.

MAHESH BABU SSMB28:-

Mahesh Babu is back from his holiday and, post-Sankranti is ready to head back to the sets. Pooja Hegde, who is part of the project, was recently seen heading to a temple in Hyderabad to offer her prayers before the start of the shoot of her new film.

As to what Sreeleela role is in the film has not been revealed, but it does not look like it is a small role. Perhaps it is as strong as Pooja’s but we need to wait for the official announcements.

SREELEELA 2022:-

The actress, who is also studying medicine, had a good 2022. Sreeleela was seen in a special song in the Puneeth Rajkumar film, James, and a Kannada film, By Two Love, but it was Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka, that catapulted her to the top last year.

Dhamaka struck gold at the box office. Meanwhile, Sreeleela has been busy keeping in touch with her fans through Instagram lives and posting pics from all her recent outings. Now, all eyes are on the Sankranti releases post when the official announcements about all developments should come from the SSMB 28 filmmakers.
