Vishal Krishna Reddy, also known by his stage name Vishal, is an Indian actor, director, and producer who primarily works in Tamil films. He was born on August 29, 1977. Before becoming an actor, he worked as an assistant director for Arjun Sarja. He made his acting debut in the 2004 film “Chellamae”, which became a blockbuster hit at the box office. His notable works in the Tamil film industry include “Sandakozhi” (2005), “Thimiru” (2006), “Thaamirabarani” (2007), “Malaikottai” (2007), “Sathyam” (2008), “Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai” (2010), “Avan Ivan” (2011), “Vedi” (2011), “Pandiya Naadu” (2013), “Naan Sigappu Manithan” (2014), “Poojai” (2014), “Aambala” (2015), “Kathakali” (2016), “Marudhu” (2016), “Thupparivaalan” (2017), “Villain” (2017), “Irumbu Thirai” (2018), Sandakozhi 2” (2018), “Ayogya” (2019), “Chakra” (2021), “Enemy” (2021), “Veerame Vaagai Soodum” (2022), and “Laththi” (2022). In 2006, he received the Kalaimamani Award for his contribution to Tamil cinema. He made his debut as a film producer in the 2013 film “Pandiya Naadu” under his banner, Vishal Film Factory, for which he bagged the South Indian International Movie Award (SIIMA) for Best Debutant Producer in 2014.
