Arun Vijay steps into Suriya’s shoes for director Bala’s film Vanangaan

Director Bala announced early in December that he would not be completing Vanangaan with Suriya as the two had mutually decided to part ways. It is now reported that Arun Vijay will step into Suriya’s shoes. Telugu actor Krithi Shetty and Malayalam actor Mamitha Baiju are said to have been signed on for this film as well.

Arun Vijay has had a string of hits this year and his career is going well. Sinam, Yaanai, and Oh My Dog have done well for him in theatres and 2023 looks exciting for the actor. Vabnangaan is likely to start in February 2023 as Arun Vijay is busy completing his project with director AL Vijay.

The first look of Arun Vijay’s film with Vijay, titled Achcham Enbadhu Illayae, was released in November. This is a thriller drama that will see Nimisha Sajayajan also. The film was shot in London and GV Prakash scored the music for this film.

Arun Vijay also set foot into the OTT world this year by acting in AVM Productions’ first OTT release, Tamilrockerz. It was well received by the audience. The Kollywood actor wants to entertain people and wants every new role of his to be exciting for the audience. Not wanting to get stereotyped as a cop, he has decided to avoid playing a cop in the near future.
