Katrina Kaif Biography

Katrina Kaif is an Indian actress born on 16 July 1984 in Hong Kong.

Katrina was born in Hong Kong to an Indian Kashmiri father, Mohammed Kaif, and English mother, Suzanne Turquotte. Her parents got divorced when she was very young. She has seven siblings. From Hong Kong, they moved to China and then Japan. Then from Japan to France when she was 8 and then moved to Switzerland, Kraków, Berlin, Belgium, and many other East European countries where she and her family lived for a few months each time. Then they moved to Hawaii, then to her mother’s home country, England. She only lived in London for three years before finally moving to Mumbai.

She also appeared in Telugu and Malayalam films. She was voted the sexiest Asian woman in the world by Eastern Eye in the year 2008, 2009, and 2010. Being a British citizen, she works in India on an employment visa.

Career

Kaif began her modeling career at the age of fourteen. She started her first job with a jewelry campaign. She then continued modeling in London under a contract with Models 1 Agency and did campaigns for houses such as La Senza and Arcadius, and even participated in the London Fashion Week.

Her first film was Boom in the year 2003. She moved to Mumbai and was offered a number of modeling assignments. Initially, all filmmakers were hesitant to take her because she could not speak Hindi.
