Rakshit Shetty Biography 2023

Rakshit Shetty is an Indian actor, film producer, writer, and filmmaker known for his work in Kannada cinema. He was born on June 6, 1983. He is called as Simple Star. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications engineering. After completing his studies, he worked in the software industry for two years, and after that, he started his acting career. He made his acting debut in the 2010 Kannada film “Nam Areal Ond Dina” but he got success from the 2013 film “Simple Agi Ondh Love Story”. Later in 2014, he made his directorial debut with the film “Ulidavaru Kandanthe”. He also acted in the film in the lead role, and this film won him the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Debutant Director. His other notable works that achieved him further success include “Vaastu Prakaara” (2015), “Ricky” (2016), “Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu” (2016), “Jigarthanda” (2016), “Kirik Party” (2016), “Avane Srimannarayana” (2019), and “777 Charlie” (2022). A 2016 romantic comedy film, “Kirik Party”, was Directed, Written, and Produced by Rakshit Shetty along with G.S.Guptha. He starred in the movie in a lead role, and it became one of the highest-grossing films in the Kannada film industry. He received several awards, including Filmfare Awards South, Karnataka State Film Awards, KAFTA Awards, IIFA Utsavam Awards, and SIIMA Awards.
