Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu or Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu? Vishal reveals his pick | Exclusive

Laththi is set to release in theatres on December 22 and its hero Vishal is busy promoting the film. This high-octane action flick will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. When Vishal is asked how different this movie will be from his other action films, he told India Today.in, “I can’t keep hitting people in every film and getting hit. I need to do something new. This is the first time I am working with stunt director Peter Hein and the last 45 minutes of Laththi is the highlight of this film.”

VARISU OR THUNIVU? VISHAL ANSWERS:-

The big question on everyone’s mind now is whether to watch Vijay’s Varisu or Ajith’s film Thunivu, as they both release during Pongal in January 2023. This is one of the hottest box office wars in recent times in Tamil Nadu as films of the two big stars are clashing at the box office after eight years. When asked whether he would watch director Vamshi Paidipally Varisu or Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu (directed by H Vinoth), Vishal replied, “First, I’ll watch Vijay’s film, then Ajith’s.”

DIRECTORIAL DEBUT IN 2023:-

2023 looks quite packed for the actor-producer as he will be working on three back-to-back projects. One is his directorial debut, Thuparivaalan 2. The cast for this film includes Prasanna and the movie will be shot in London. “This is the sequel to my earlier film Thuparivaalan. I have written the script. I am acting and directing it also. This is my directorial debut venture. We have already started pre-production work on this film,” stated Vishal. “The sequel focuses on the Kohinoor diamond. The movie will take five months to complete,” he added.

MARK ANTHONY: THE DOUBLE ENTITY:-

Another interesting project Vishal has is Mark Anthony by director Adhik Ravichandran. “This movie is a landmark film – it’s a sci-fi flick where both SJ Suryah and I play double roles. The film is set in two time periods – 1960s Madras and 1990s Madras; the time of MGR and Kalaignar. I am a gangster in this movie,” he revealed. Vishal has also signed a film with director-producer Karthik Subbaraj for Stone Bench Productions. “The production house will reveal details soon,” he said.
