She was named Sweety Shetty at birth but later adopted the stage name Anushka Shetty for her acting career. In 2005, she made her acting debut with the film “Super”. In 2006, she acted in “Vikramarkudu”, a blockbuster hit film. She received several awards, including Filmfare Awards South, Nandi Awards, SIIMA Awards, Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, and CineMAA Awards. Her commercially successful Tamil films include “Vettaikaaran” (2009), “Singham” (2010), “Vaanam” (2011), “Deiva Thirumagal” (2011), “Singham II” (2013), “Lingaa” (2014), “Size Zero” (2015), “Yennai Arindhaal” (2015), and “Si3” (2017).
