Decoding Vijay Deverakonda’s Rs 25 crore fee for Liger, net worth | Exclusive

Vijay Devarakonda has a massive fan following across the country even before his first pan-India film, Liger, could release. Having done Telugu films predominantly, the actor managed to win the audience with his charm, swag, and attitude. It was Arjun Reddy that catapulted him to nationwide fame. Even though the film sparked a lot of conversation around misogyny and consent, Arjun Reddy was commercially successful as well.

Currently, Vijay Devarakonda is waiting for the release of his upcoming film, Liger, which marks his Bollywood debut. The film, directed by Puri Jagannath, will release in cinemas on August 25 in multiple languages.

In this piece, let us take a look at Vijay Deverakonda’s fee per film, income sources, and net worth.

HOW MUCH DOES VIJAY DEVERAKONDA CHARGE PER FILM?

Vijay Devarakonda played supporting roles before he became a hero in Tharun Bhaskar’s Pelli Choopulu (2016). Slowly, he found his standing in the Telugu film industry with films like Geetha Govindam, NOTA, World Famous Lover, and Dear Comrade. Up until Liger came his way, Vijay Devarakonda was charging Rs 6-7 crore per film.

However, for Liger, Vijay charged a whopping Rs 20-25 crore. Speaking exclusively to IndiaToday.in, trade analyst Ramesh Bala said, “I heard that the budget of Liger was pegged at around Rs 90 crore. And Vijay Devarakonda charged somewhere between Rs 20-25 crore since it’s a Telugu-Hindi bilingual. Since Liger marks his Bollywood debut and with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions on board, this seems like a solid number for a debut (Hindi) actor.”

Ramesh Bala also feels that if Liger becomes a blockbuster, Vijay Devarakonda could increase his salary. “We can see the relationship Vijay shares with Puri Jagannath, Charmme Kaur, and Karan Johar. If Liger ends up becoming another Pushpa or RRR or KGF 2, Vijay Devarakonda could share profits with the three. Right now, they have promoted the film for 40 days across the country and it has generated great buzz. If the content is decent to above average, Liger will be the next big film.”

VIJAY DEVERAKONDA’S PRIZED POSSESSIONS:-

In several interviews, Vijay Devarakonda opened up about hailing from a middle-class family. He also revealed that his younger brother, Anand Devarakonda, had to take care of the family by working in the US when he decided to become an actor. After he made it big in the industry, Vijay was able to buy his own house.

In 2019, Vijay moved into a plush house in Jubilee Hills, one of the poshest locations in Hyderabad. Reportedly, the actor shelled out Rs 15 crore to build his dream home.

Sharing a few pictures from his home, Vijay wrote, “Her happiness. His pride. Our new home! Sending you all lots of love from the 4 Deverakonda’s – you’ve all been a part of this journey with us. bought a house so big. It scares me. Now need mum to make us all feel safe. Make it home.”

VIJAY DEVERAKONDA’S INCOME SOURCES:-

From doing commercials to owning a clothing line, Vijay Devarakonda is quite a visionary. He rarely does paid promotions on Instagram for well-known brands.

Ramesh Bala said, “Among the young crop of actors, Vijay Devarakonda has a huge fan following on social media. He also knows how to keep his fans entertained. He has his own clothing line called Rowdy. Over the years, he has built a brand for himself that puts him up above his contemporaries.”

‘LIGER COULD BE A BREAKOUT FILM FOR VIJAY DEVERAKONDA’:-

Director Puri Jagannath Liger is Vijay Deverakonda’s first pan-India release and his Bollywood debut. Ramesh Bala feels that Liger will be off to a flying start at the box office. “The film is one of the most anticipated flicks of 2022. This could be his breakout film if the content is good. If Liger does well commercially, then there’s nothing like it. It will be his next big jump as an actor,” explained Ramesh.

On the work front, Vijay Devarakonda has Puri Jagannath Jana Gana Mana and Shiva Nirvana’s Khushi in the pipeline.
