Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi films. She was born on January 5, 1986. Former Indian badminton player Prakash Padukone is her father. She made her acting debut in the 2006 Kannada film “Aishwarya”, and later on, in 2007, she made her Bollywood debut in the film “Om Shanti Om” opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She worked in the 2017 Hollywood action film “XXX: Return of Xander Cage”. She won several awards, including Filmfare Awards, IIFA Awards, Screen Awards, Stardust Awards, and Zee Cine Awards. Her notable works in Hindi films include “Love Aaj Kal” (2009), “Cocktail” (2012), “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” (2013), “Chennai Express” (2013), “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” (2013), “Happy New Year” (2014),
“Bajirao Mastani” (2015), “Piku” (2015), “Padmaavat” (2018), “Chhapaak” (2020), “83” (2021), and “Pathaan” (2023). In 2015, she founded “The Live Love Laugh Foundation” in order to bring awareness about mental health and give hope to people who experience stress, anxiety, and depression. She is married to actor Ranveer Singh. Her upcoming projects are “Project K” opposite Prabhas and “Fighter” opposite Hrithik Roshan.
In 2018, she married actor Ranveer Singh at Lake Como, Italy.
