Chiyaan Vikram is gearing up for the release of his latest movie, Ponniyin Selvan, which has created a great deal of buzz among fans. The film’s trailer was launched today, September 6, amid fanfare. The video is a visually appealing affair that’s an absolute treat for those fond of larger-than-life extravaganzas. Ponniyin Selvan is a period drama, directed by Mani Ratnam. It is produced by the Iruvar filmmaker and Allirajah Subaskaran under the Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions banners, respectively.

Ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam, who received praise for his last directorial venture Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, is gearing up for the release of Ponniyin Selvan. Its trailer is out now. Lyca Productions shared it on Twitter, giving fans a look at what to expect from Kollywood’s magnum opus. Kamal Haasan is the narrator for the trailer.

The Ponniyin Selvan audio and trailer launch proved to be a star-studded affair. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan served as the chief guests . The likes of Aditi Rao Hydari, Ravi Varma, and Siddharth were also spotted at the event. AR Rahman’s songs were played before the trailer launch started, much to the delight of those in attendance.

The two-part franchise has reportedly been shot on a budget of Rs 500 crore, making it one of Lyca’s most ambitious projects. . The cast is headlined by Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lakshmi, and Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, and Kishore among others. The makers had earlier released a teaser, which gave us a look at the world of the Cholas. They also shared character posters to pique the curiosity of fans.
